Freedom of Information

Several Freedom of Information requests (FOI’s) have been sent off to Parks Victoria regarding the bans… Mostly from concerned and on-the-ball climbers who saw the urgent need for some transparency early on (it takes at least 30 days to process a FOI).

Some FOI’s are still in process, but an ACAV member submitted this one on 25th Feb 2019 and has received a reply. The FOI request was for: “All communication plans and stakeholder engagement plans relating to the restriction of rock climbing in the Grampians National Park prepared or in use since September 2018”

The folks over at Save Grampians Climbing, have also received the FOI, and have done some brief analysis worth reading.
