NAIDOC Week 7 – 14 July 2019

NAIDOC (National Aboriginal and Islanders Day Observance Committee) week commences on Monday 7 July, 2019.

Celebrations will be held across Australia to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander peoples.

NAIDOC Week is a chance, not just for Indigenous communities, but for all Australians from all walks of life to celebrate and participate in a range of activities to support local Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander communities.

This year’s theme is Voice. Treaty. Truth. Let’s work together for a shared future.

ACAV wholeheartedly believes that all people should be working towards a shared future and encourages all its members to find out more about the origins and history of NAIDOC Week by visiting official website and to see how you can get involved with many of the activities happening across the country.
